Planting the Seed

The Community Health Center of Burlington (CHCB) may look like it’s under construction, but they are providing health care and dental services every day.  Phase 1 is open for business, while Phase 2 is being completed.  Pictured above is the completed Phase 1 construction achieved behind the once operating health center, which is now demolished to make room for Phase 2.

When complete, the 30,000 patients will have 26 new medical exam rooms, 12 dental operatories, nine behavioral health counseling rooms, a laboratory, new lobbies and reception – all on top of a 76-car parking structure.  The 36,000 sf facility will be LEED rated, 75% of the old building was recycled and 65% of the lighting fixtures, water fountains, eye wash stations, magazine racks, shelving and brackets and even doorstops were reused.  This new $10 million facility, which cares for all patients regardless of ability to pay, is right on schedule.
