Architect Jamie Wagner Earns Passive House Certification

Jamie Wagner, AIA, LEED AP, CDT, is now Passive House certified.

First developed in Germany, Passive House is a quality standard for energy efficiency that results in ultra-low energy buildings.  Passive House buildings focus on insulation, windows, building orientation, and ventilation systems to produce structures that require very little energy to heat and cool.

Passive House is a great design standard for New England climates, which can be bitter cold in the winter and sweltering hot in the summer.  And it’s not just for houses: buildings of all sizes and types can benefit greatly from Passive House construction.

Passive House is one of several certification programs available to building owners looking to build green. Freeman French Freeman’s team of sustainability experts can help identify specific programs, processes, and products that work best for each project, based on a range of business and environmental goals.

Established in 1937, Freeman French Freeman is a 20-person team of architects and designers, working together to create distinctive architecture for clients across northern New England.
