Lange and Crandall Promoted to Associate Principal

April 5, 2019

Catherine Lange and Josh Crandall have been appointed as Associate Principals of the Vermont architecture firm Freeman French Freeman. They join Jesse Beck, Alex Halpern and Shawn Brennan to become the fifth generation of owners at the 82-year-old firm.

“After a six-month strategic planning process, we identified Catherine and Josh as the kind of leaders with the talent and drive to keep Freeman French Freeman at the forefront of Vermont architecture,” said Jesse Beck, President.

A recent arrival to our state, Catherine Lange is an enthusiastic supporter of Vermont architecture as a board member for the American Institute of Architects, Vermont Chapter. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master of Architecture degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Josh Crandall holds a degree in architecture from the Pratt Institute in New York City. He returned to his hometown of Bristol, Vermont in 2015 after a decade of working for firms in Maine, North Carolina and Virginia.

Both Catherine and Josh have established themselves as capable designers and project managers at Freeman French Freeman, working for a variety of clients in higher education, government, and private enterprise.
