Burlington Harbor Marina
Trident Marine Group
The Burlington Harbor Marina, a public-private partnership with the City of Burlington, adds significant capacity for boaters as well as new public amenities on the Burlington waterfront.
Freeman French Freeman was charged with designing boater amenities for the 160-slip facility. The project consists of three floating components: a 2000 square-foot marina services building with offices and ship store, a large private bathroom and shower facility with laundry, and a fueling hut.
With all three structures on floating decks, designers paid special attention to materials and finishes that were lightweight, durable, structurally sound, and in balance with the docks’ buoyancy. On land, flexible gangways provide wheelchair access to the docks regardless of water levels.
The project also adds several on-shore improvements including new public washrooms and additional parking in a beautifully landscaped setting.
