SHAPE Athletic Facility

Northern Vermont University chose Freeman French Freeman to renovate SHAPE, the student athletic facility, on its Johnson, Vermont campus. The renovated facility includes a sought-after amenities including a new fitness center, spinning studio, group exercise room, a new bouldering wall, and all new bleachers and flooring in the school’s gymnasium.

Old wooden bleachers from the gymnasium were given a new life as part of the renovation: Over 1,200 feet of oak was recycled into new wood paneling for SHAPE’s renovated lobby and fitness center.
